Step one:

Create a new layer-set called Sleek Navigation Box..

Start with a black background. In a new layer, draw a #1D1D1D round rectangle. Make sure the radius setting of the round rectangle tool is set to 10px.

Add the following layer styles: Inner Shadow, Outer Glow, Satin, Gradient Overlay, Pattern Overlay, Stroke.

Step two:

In a new layer, draw another round rectangle this time pure white.

Set the layer's blending mode to Darken. Your white rectangle should disappear.

Add the following layer styles: Inner Shadow, Gradient Overlay.

Step three:

Draw black 2px line in a new layer. This line will seperate the icon from the link name.

Add the following layer styles: Drop Shadow, Stroke.
